LACCICO R3-CS: Round, strong, uncomplicated
At 3 mm in diameter, this round lace is the choice for derbies, desert boots and lace-up ankle boots with hooks. If you like things uncomplicated, take it instead of a flat lace.
Material and manufacture: 100% cotton, braided to be tear-resistant.
The R3-CS finishing process: After braiding, the laces are waxed, hot-rolled and polished. The wax penetrates the braid and protects the fibre from moisture and abrasion. The result is a smooth surface with a satin-matte sheen that blends harmoniously with the texture of the finest shoe leathers.
Durability and function: The laces are a little stiff at first and become more supple with wear. Round laces do not twist and are easy to lace. On hooks, lay the lace in under tension after crossing it over rather than pulling it through. Pulling in the wrong direction is the most common cause of wear. R3-CS in Dark Blue: calm and versatile
The R3 is the all-rounder: round, 3 mm, uncomplicated. The list of what it does not suit is short; only for concealed eyelets is it too thick. Dark blue is the calm alternative to black.
Short, 45 to 90 cm: Tone on tone on dark blue casuals, a fine, cool accent on brown derbies.
Long, 120 and 150 cm: On brown lace-up ankle boots and hiking shoes, dark blue looks calm and clear.
In wind and weather: In the rain, the waxed lace plays to its strengths: its bow does not come undone as easily as with smooth synthetic laces. Those are more abrasion-resistant in return. If a bow still keeps coming loose, it was usually the wrong knot. Simply tie the starting knot the other way round.
