At 3 mm wide, this flat lace is the flat alternative to a round lace, for leather shoes with concealed eyelets. Where you would expect a round lace, it adds a small element of surprise that connoisseurs will notice.
Material and manufacture: 100% cotton, braided to be tear-resistant.
The F3-CS finishing process: After braiding, the laces are waxed, hot-rolled and polished. The wax penetrates the braid and protects the fibre from moisture and abrasion. The result is a smooth surface with a satin-matte sheen that blends harmoniously with the texture of the finest shoe leathers.
Durability and function: The laces are a little stiff at first and become more supple with wear. Flat laces want to lie flat. To stop them twisting as you lace up, keep the loop under slight tension with your other hand. The flat lace then glides flat through the eyelet without twisting.
