LACCICO F6-XR: Strong, wide, full of character
At 6 mm wide and with a robust structure, this flat lace is the choice for boots with a vintage, heritage or workwear look.

Material and manufacture: 100% cotton, braided to be tear-resistant. Thicker strands of yarn create a coarser structure and a higher profile. There is simply more yarn in it, which gives it its soft yet substantial feel. Because it is taller, the lace sits a little higher on the shoe, which is part of its strong look.

The F6-XR finishing process: After braiding, the laces are waxed, hot-rolled and polished. The wax penetrates the braid and protects the fibre from moisture and abrasion. The result is a smooth surface with a satin-matte sheen.

Durability and function: The laces are a little stiff at first and become more supple with wear. Flat laces want to lie flat. To stop them twisting as you lace up, keep the loop under slight tension with your other hand. The flat lace then glides flat through the eyelet without twisting. Because it is thicker, it needs a little more length than a fine lace. Before ordering, it is best to measure your old laces. F6-XR in Black: strong and straightforward
The F6-XR has more yarn and thicker strands than the fine F6-CS, and its braid shows. In black, that makes a lace with backbone.

Short, 75 and 90 cm: On rugged derbies and chukka boots the wide lace sits snugly in the eyelets. On black leather it blends in while the texture stays visible.

Long, 120 and 150 cm: On biker and workwear boots, black is the classic. Running up the shaft, the XR shows its strong braid.

Playing with contrast: On boots in brown oiled leather or on light retro sneakers, black becomes a striking counterpoint.

Worn with: Jeans, a leather jacket and a work shirt as well as a knitted dress and a wool coat.
